“The Unlikely King” didn’t begin as a portrait of power. It began as a question. As I worked through the layers, the moose - an animal so often seen as heavy, quiet, almost unnoticed - began to shift. A presence emerged. Not loud, not demanding, but undeniable. This piece became a reflection of the kind of strength that doesn’t perform, doesn’t seek attention, yet holds its ground with assured certainty. The kind of power that reveals itself only when we learn how to see it.
“The Unlikely King” became less about the moose and more about that realization: that we don’t need to become something else to be powerful. We only need to stand fully in who we already are.
