I’ve spent a long time exploring beauty through certain lenses—strength, symbolism, presence.
But this piece felt different from the beginning.
There was no need to exaggerate or elevate. No need to turn the subject into something more than what he already was.
As I painted, I kept returning to the same feeling—that there is a kind of beauty we don’t always acknowledge. One that isn’t loud, isn’t performed, and doesn’t try to be seen.
It simply exists.
The Other Muse became a reflection of that space. A quiet shift in perspective. A recognition that presence, on its own, can be enough.
