DALIA'S BIO
Born in Tallinn, Estonia, Dalia Manoim comes from a richly creative family, her mother a music teacher and her father a renowned black-and-white photographer. Immersed in the arts from an early age, she first fell in love with ballet and the expressive world of performance. Yet it wasn’t until later in life that her extraordinary talent as a visual artist fully emerged. In 2018, she embraced the courage to pursue art professionally, completing her formal training at the Milan Art Institute in April 2025.
Dalia has made Toronto, Canada her home since 1989, a place where her artistic voice fully blossomed. Her work explores human resilience and the transformative power of creativity. Rooted in the archetypal hero’s journey, her paintings weave together stories of trials, courage, and revelation, inviting viewers into introspective paths of their own. Through vibrant mixed media, layered symbolism, and emotionally charged color, she creates art that celebrates strength, wonder, and the quiet beauty found in becoming.
A proud member of The Canadian Artists' Representation/Le Front des artistes canadiens (CARFAC) since November 2025, the Society of Professional Artists (SOPA) since April 2025 and the Richmond Hill Group of Artists (RHGA) since May 2025, Dalia has exhibited in RHGA group shows, multiple solo exhibitions, and numerous online showcases. She also contributes to her local arts community by volunteering for exhibition installations in medical offices and community spaces.
Dalia paints from her woodland studio in Canada, surrounded by sweeping forest views that continuously influence her work. Nature’s shifting colors and rhythms, along with her passion for travel and fascination with life’s many perspectives, shape the heart of her artistic exploration.
Looking ahead, she envisions a future grounded in cultural connection: expanding her travels, establishing her own gallery, and publishing a book that unites her art and poetry. Through her work, Dalia seeks not only to create beauty but to offer a catalyst for courage, reflection, and transformation.
